I used to go to the Baillieu to study when I was doing HSC. I lived in the Eastern suburbs and used to come in on the tram and bus. It was an adventure for me to walk up the spiral staircase and down the corridors of books to find what I wanted. And even better when you did find what you were looking for. I dreamt of studying at Melbourne with its lush green grounds and old buildings. So being able to visit the Baillieu was my little entre in Melbourne Uni life. I have very warm memories about the Bailleu - funny how a library can make you feel safe during the often turbulent world of being a teenager!
